The USS Saratoga is one of the United States First Aircraft Carrier launched in 1925. One of only three pre-war aircraft carriers to survive WWII, she was the backbone of American Pacific defenses during the war. The oldest in service until she was sunk in 1946 in atomic bomb tests at Bikini Atoll.
